→ Glazed Pottery
Jackson Pottery offers a variety of Glazed Earthenware adding character, color, and sophisticated design to any outdoor
living area. This diversity of products and finishes gives homeowners the opportunity to distinguish their homes in a
complimentary way. The glazing of earthenware keeps absorption lower than with standard terracotta planters. Nevertheless,
rain and snow can still cause damage to the planter if it is allowed to freeze inside. It may be necessary for the product to
be covered or moved inside during extremely cold weather.
→ Terra Cotta Pottery
Jackson Pottery offers three main types of terracotta: Italian, Asian, and Asian Rustic. All three types of terracotta reveal
a natural finish that is timeless and moisture absorbent. Due to the nature of terracotta clay, it can be vulnerable to extreme
weather conditions. It is recommended that during extreme weather conditions the product be moved inside or covered.
→ Cast Stone and Cast Iron
If durability is important to you, you have chosen the right category. Due to their respective materials, these planters
weather outside the best of any of our outdoor offerings. Customers are invited to use clear coat sealers as necessary, but most
do not. Cast Iron planters can be repainted a flat or shiny black or custom painted by the customer for a unique one-of-a-kind
finish.
Jackson Pottery offers customers a variety of staining options for our cast stone products. Upon request, each work of art is finished
and antiqued by hand to achieve a unique finish that is sure to make a bold statement in any garden or home decor setting. The stain
reacts with minerals already present in the concrete, giving it the look and feel of natural stone. Due to the unique and unpredictable
nature of staining, no two pieces will ever be alike. Exact tones, colors and accents will vary from piece to piece. Staining done on
the concrete will fade over time, but does not peel away like standard paints. We guarantee our workmanship; however, the results of the
finish can be expected but not guaranteed. The purchaser should understand the nature of this process and be comfortable with the
characteristics of staining. Because of this, Jackson Pottery cannot accept any returns of cast stone products which do not match a
sample tile or previously stained products. For more details, please contact your sales representative.
Proper care of all planters and outdoor living accessories is recommended to help ensure long term enjoyment. Just the same, these
precautions do not necessarily guarantee that planters left to the elements will survive winter weather. Jackson Pottery is not
responsible for damage done to product due to weather conditions.
